The LACPA organized a Seminar on the International Standards on Auditing 315 Identifying and Assessing the Risks of Material Misstatement through Understanding the Entity and Its Environment on Tuesday 18 September 2018 presented by Mr. Hicham el Moukammal – Vice President of the LACPA and Mr. Joseph Samaha - LACPA member and the president of the scientific research committee.
Mr. Moukammal gave a briefing about the work done by the IAASB and the reasons behind these amendments and encouraged members to send their comments to the LACPA.
Mr. Samaha presented the ISA 315, which is one of the ISAs redrafted by the IAASB as part of its Clarity Project that will lead to understanding the entity's system of internal control and to identify and assessing the risks of material misstatement.
The LACPA is encouraging members to comment on this project and send their comments before 25 October 2018 to the association.
